Wow Some People....

Some people are serious about their coffee at 5AM. I mean SERIOUS. There was almost a brawl over coffee in the Starbucks I chill in this morning because something wasn't made right--twice. The customer came with attitude and that set off the associate behind the counter and it was on!!! I don't think 5AM is the time to be anything but sleepy. I hope this is not the precursor to how my day is going to be.

I like Starbucks--Not This Much

I like Starbucks--Alot! I pass several of them on my way to various places. I am a regular at several stores--I spend alot of time writing in the ones near my house and I chill in one while mom gets her dialysis done. Never ever would I have ever thought to hit all of the Starbucks in my area in one day. This guy did though! I think he hit something like 171 stores in the Manhattan area. Crazy Caffeine Junky! That is just a cry for help. Check it:

Aquafina = Tap Water In A Bottle

I saw this while browsing the news and a sense of justification came over me! I have been saying for a very long time that bottled water from the big soda companies was a scam. The whole selling ice to eskimos thing comes to mind. According to new reports Pepsi is now going to put the fact that Aquafina water comes from a public source. Meaning it is tap water. The only place I would feel safe drinking tap water is in San Francisco where the majority of their water comes from Yosemite and needs very little processing to make it drinkable.

Thriller...The Prison Remake

I have nothing against a person being punished for crime. I won't mention my views on capital punishment or anything of the like. I do however believe there is such a thing a s cruel and unusual punishment. I don't think it has anything to do with Arizona's Tent City, or revived chain gangs. I don't think that it has anything to do with making the inmates wearing pink jumpsuits or pink underwear. I found the definition of cruel and unusual punishment abroad in the Philippines. There is a prison in Cebu that has taken cruel and unusual to the cruelest and most unusual levels. They have made their inmates learn the dance moves to Michael Jackson's Thriller. I think the UN or Red Cross should step in immediately. Take a look:




The problem isn't the Thriller video by itself, they also made them choreograph routines to the music from Sister Act--now that is a crime against humanity!

Commando Chinese Babies & Crotchless Pants

This was too much! And kinda too weird!

"I wonder how babies in China feel in the wintertime. I mean, they must experience some severe crotch frost considering the built-in air-conditioning their clothing has! This no-nonsense approach to raising not-yet-potty-trained children has me both baffled and amused.

Here in China, children under the age of approximately 4 years old wear pants that are crotchless. In other words, their pants do not have any crotch, just an open space where the crotch should be. At a Pride Day parade, this style would be called "chaps"! Here in China, they're just regular kids' clothes."

You Have Got To Be Kidding Me

There is nothing more that I cannot stand than a person telling someone they are a not a good role model for someone else because they are not perfect in every way. Maybe if people are looking for perfection in other people they should start with the person they see in the mirror. If people are so concerned about what their children are seeing in other people thatr makes them want to idolize them then they should provide what they do want for their children in their own homes and give their children something to measure by. People like this really annoy me:

BoobTube Confession

Ok so I have taken quite a bit of time off of work lately while the doctors are trying to figure out what in the world is wrong with my body. Naturally I have found ways to fill in my time. I have picked up an addiction to Heroes, American Idol, House and CSI. Those are just the top four. I have a variety of shows that I watch late at night when I am studied out or the pain just won't let me sleep. So I am laying in my room last night and something was just not right. I tried hard to figure it out and I just couldn't nail it down. I finally discovered the reason the oddity in my room--my stereo was on and my tv was not. I tried to find my remote to my tv and I couldn't. Then I noticed it, the strange calm that was over me. The tv was off and I was not freaked out about it. I was actually enjoying the noise of the stereo but not looking for the hourlong drama or sitcom fix. Then I thought about it, I had actually not watched tv all weekend. It actually felt good. But alas it muct come to an end--Heroes is on tonight. "SAVE THE CHEERLEADER, SAVE THE WORLD!"
